The Van Nuys Flyaway

Following star-crossed lovers to their unanticipated departure, the performance draws upon the futuristic architecture of the bus terminal and brings a humanistic touch to the modern structure. As the performers explore the notion of leaving as a beginning and end, the audience witnessed an intricate story of travelers against the backdrop of ongoing entrances and exits of real-life commuters. Through electric choreography directed by Heidi Duckler, LED-infused costumes designed by Kaycee Krieg, new video design by artist Ray Sun, and a cutting-edge live DJ, Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre transformed the LAX FlyAway® into a kiss-and-ride away from daily life.
