LOS ANGELES AIRPORT POLICE HONOR GUARD POSTED COLORS AT AMERICAN AIRLINES/USO VETERAN’S DAY EVENT

(Los Angeles, California – November 16, 2011)  Los Angeles Airport Police Honor Guard Officers posted colors at the American Airlines-United Services Organization (USO) Veteran’s Day Celebration (Yellowed Out) in honor of all fallen soldiers on November 11 at 9 a.m.  The event was held at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), American Airlines Terminal, Gate 45.    
The honor guard officers were Officer Thomas Dye, Cindy Colon, Mark Corral, Lance Schoenbaum and Robert Pedregon.  Speakers for the event included American Airlines Managing Director John Tiliacos, Executive Officer Mike Teilmann from the LAXUSO, and celebrity guest speaker Gary Sinise, founder of the Gary Sinise Foundation.  The Sinise Foundation was officially formed in 2010.  Serving Honor and Need™ is the cornerstone of the foundation which is built upon its founder’s life-long principles and long standing commitment “to be a citizen of action, and to help in any way that one can, the people who serve our country.”

The Los Angeles Airport Police Division is the fourth largest law enforcement agency in Los Angeles County, with more than 1,200 law enforcement, security and staff personnel.  The Airport Police is a division of Los Angeles World Airports, the City department that owns and operates four airports in Southern California:  Los Angeles International, LA/Ontario International and Van Nuys (general aviation).
