LAX ENCOURAGES GUESTS TO SUPPORT FOOD AND BEVERAGE CONCESSIONAIRES ON SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY

(Los Angeles, CA) In anticipation of Small Business Saturday, Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) is encouraging guests to stop by one of our many locally-owned and operated small businesses at LAX during this busy holiday weekend. Small Business Saturday is a day to support small businesses and their significant contributions to communities across the country.

“At LAX, we pride ourselves on offering a diverse array of food and retail options," said Dave Jones, Director of Airline Services and Concession Properties, LAWA. "On 'Small Business Saturday,' we have the opportunity to support the businesses that stimulate the local economy while reflecting the unique and dynamic culture in Los Angeles."

More than two and a half million passengers are expected during the 11-day Thanksgiving travel period. LAWA reminds guests that we have a diversity of concessions and retail shopping experiences to choose from, including many local businesses. A full list of shopping and dining options can be found at FlyLAX.com.

This weekend, LAWA is highlighting a few of the local brands and small business enterprises that operate at LAX.

James' Beach: James' Beach is known for its modern American comfort food and SoCal beach vibes. Try the famous fish tacos that foodies love or one of their signature cocktails.  James' Beach is located in Tom Bradley International Terminal, across from Gate 132. Find a menu and additional information here.

Ashland Hill: You can find Ashland Hill in Terminals 3 and 7 at LAX. It is operated by Areas, a leading provider of food and beverage and retail services in the travel industry. Ashland Hill began in Santa Monica and their menu includes dishes that draw influence from the West Coast and Midwest.

Rock & Brews: Located in Terminal 1 and owned by Crews, a US-based minority-owned hospitality company, Rock & Brews offers affordable, quality American comfort food and a broad selection of craft beers, while providing a family-friendly Rock and Roll experience. Learn more here.
Cole's: Cole's, the originators of the French Dip, offers four versions of its iconic sandwich and various sides at its LAX location. The original Cole's opened in 1908 in the Pacific Electric building, once the nucleus of the Pacific Electric railway network. Cole’s opened a second location at the Los Angeles International Airport in late 2013 in the Terminal 4 food court. Find the menu here.
